My talk «Activism in Russia: before the war and today» at the Anarchist Library in Vienna (October 29, 2022) has been published: https://youtu.be/IydMsqVMNXg That was the second talk in my 2022 series about Russian activism. In my talk in Vienna I focused more on art activism. Thanks to Elena Ilina for suggesting telling more about Pavel Krysevich case (5 years in prison for an art action). My coming to Vienna was a bit spontaneous, and we organised the event within one week. There were about 8 people, but we had the longest discussion (I made a one-hour talk, and people had been asking questions about Russia and Ukraine for another 45 minutes). While people in Aachen used all means to spread information, the Anarchistische Bibliothek Wien is critical about social networks and sent the announcement only to their mailing list (and several activist sites). Thanks to the library and especially to Rahel for the organisation. Unfortunately, I made several slips during that talk. For example, when I was telling about huge Russian protests in 1990s, I told that several hundreds of people demonstrated, while it was several hundred thousands (but no one noticed). See other corrections and links to demonstrated media under the video description. In the near future I’m visiting Dresden. If you know people interested in these talks there, please connect us!
